When summer comes, it's not unusual for kids to get riled up.
But RYLA'd up?
Not long ago, a group of 10 about-to-be high school sophomores were awarded a week at Rotary Leadership Camp at Camp Child near Helena. The program is called RYLA - Rotary Youth Leadership Award, and is open to any student who completed the ninth grade and is not the child of a Rotary Club member. Selections are typically made in the springtime, after a nomination process that usually begins in the schools and includes an interview with Rotary Club members.
The week-long camp focused on group leadership skills, collaboration, goal setting, and of course, fun. Both of the Columbia Falls students indicated that they had a great time and would recommend the camp to anyone.
Columbia Falls' RYLA campers were Ariel Ramstad and Keri Potter, shown second and third from the right in the photo above.
