Paul Chesser, who has written previously about what he sees as Gov. Brian Schweitzer's apparently shifting stance on cap-and-trade legislation, is not satisfied with the answers provided by the governor for my story this week on resistance to the Waxman-Markey bill on the left. On the Web site Globalwarming.org, which takes a critical view of climate change without discounting it as a problem, Chesser writes, based on Schweitzer's quotes in my story:So what does that mean for his state’s continued participation in the Western Climate Initiative’s cap-and-tax scheme, as the governor sees it? Your guess is as good as anyone’s, but he will probably be allowed to evade a straight answer as long as Montanans (and their media) let him.
