As I've told you here in the past, I've made it a habit to read the Declaration of Independence and Constitution at least once a year - on Independence Day.

To encourage Beacon readers to do the same, I usually post a link to read them.

This year, however, I thought I'd give you something a little different... Two things, in fact.

First, a handful of golden throats from National Public Radio got together on Friday to read the Declaration of Independence out loud.

Second, a photo tribute to the crews of the sister ships of our recent guest, the B-17 Flying Fortress "Sentimental Journey", a gallery of my photos of the B-17.

Enjoy your independence, the voice reading and the photos.

Note: The photos are shown on my photo gallery website. It is my personal gallery and is not part of FlatheadBeacon.com. This gallery allows for ordering prints and I don't have a way to turn that off. As such, please don't assume that is why I used this system for these shots. My intent is solely to offer you a nice look at my photos of that magnificent plane, in deference to her crew, her caretakers and all those who flew in the B-17 Flying Fortress. I found my visit with her both exciting and inspirational. [End of article]
