Columbia Falls senior recently found out her cancer has become untreatable

Fundraising Efforts Underway to Benefit Taylor Peterson

Friends and family are gathering donations and organizing fundraising events for 17-year-old Taylor Peterson, who has been battling cancer for almost two years but recently found out the disease has become untreatable. Peterson's wish is to travel to Hawaii with her father and best friend.

Donations can be made at Parkside Federal Credit Union under the Taylor Peterson Cancer Fund.

Tien's Place in Columbia Falls is holding a benefit for Peterson on Dec. 2 from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Half of all proceeds from the restaurant will go toward's Peterson's trip. There's also an online auction underway raising support for Peterson.

A group of Columbia Falls girls are cutting their hair for a fundraiser at Crystal Image Salon in Columbia Falls on Saturday at 10 a.m.

Peterson is a senior at Columbia Falls High School. She was the subject of a story earlier this fall when she remarkably battled back to play in her volleyball Senior Night match. [End of article]
