Montana Coffee Traders Help With Haiti Relief

If you're like me, you can't really start your day until you've got that hot cup of coffee to keep you company (I've explained this before).

Well, once again, a coffee company in the Flathead is stepping up to the philanthropic plate. Montana Coffee Traders is looking to help relief efforts in Haiti with assistance from coffee enthusiasts like me. Scott Brant, a coffee roaster and green coffee buyer with Montana Coffee Traders, sent us an email explaining that portions of February sales will go to the American Red Cross.

We have a coffee from the Dominican Republic, Haiti's neighbor. For February we will be donating $3 for every pound sold of our Dominican Republic light and dark roasts. They will be available in our cafes in Kalispell, Columbia Falls, downtown Whitefish and at the highway store south of Whitefish. All donations will go the American Red Cross, Haiti Relief Fund.

In addition to our sales of Dominican Republic coffee to help raise relief funds we will be donating all the proceeds from the pump pot sales of coffee on Saturday, February 13 at all our stores. There are additional Red Cross donation cans at each of the stores. All monies collected will be donated to Haiti Relief efforts by the American Red Cross.
