Montana: Not a Battleground State?

It is a battle ground state.  The obamatons will not listen to common sense, they read only the loonie left blogs and watch the warped media.  Leadership, experience, and dedication to America don’t mean anything to the obamatons.  They see not B.O.’s record, only his glib promises.

Actually, a vote for obama would be a grave insult to the men and women of the Armed Forces.  A vote for obama is a vote for the oblivious generation, the gimmie “free” stuff, gimmie my “entitlements”, and screw those who actually work.

I encourage you to read up on the wonderful things Sarah’s experience brought to AK.  Start with the sports complex and the Mat Dairy fiascos. 

Bush had his chance and our country is in tatters.  A win for McCain/Palin ensures more of the same, and we just can’t afford it.

You make an unwarranted assumption.  We are electing a person, not a bunch of promises.  A person has a record of achievements, and in John McCain’s case, a long and honorable record.  Obama has no such record of achievements, only his speech writer’s promises.  Let’s go with some common sense here.  As for Palin - most of the straight media commends her achievements.  the loonie left?  Well… they think even Pelosi is great, and demean patriots.

What’s better, a promise of a new start, or a promise of more of the same failed policies?  What we have isn’t working, time to try something new.

Unwarrented assumptions?  Your generalities about liberals were pretty broad and left a great deal of room for assumptions.

“failed policies” - geez that tired phrase has been around since Kerry and never says what policies.  how about the economy?  Bush’s fault?  No - oil prices have driven consumer spending down, retail sales down, manufacturing down.  We knew 30 years ago we needed more oil, but the environmentalists say “no, not here”, not in MT, not in AK, Not off shore etc. etc.  McCain says go for all options, Obama for technology.  McCain says invest in “Big Oil”, Obama says Tax big oil.  Now, who do you think really pays the tax?  Business?  no, we do through higher prices.  Taxes have NEVER resulted in growing an economy.  Iraq? - if not there, where?  How many nutcases must the world suffer?

RE: the previous comments.  What blind fools.  Somehow over the past generation or so, the Republicans have deftly managed to convince middle and lower class Americans to vote against their own economic interests using carefully orchestrated campaigns based upon nothing but groundless fear.  They have convinced those who should know better that Democrats or liberals or progressives, whatever are trying to harm them (although those same Democrates are their own neighbors, friends and family) and that only those who identify themselves as Republicans truly care for America.  Bushwa.  I’m glad to see some Democratic candidates who finally appear to be willing to step up and tell America to pay no attention to the Republican man behind the curtain.  Catch Ass Kickin’ Joe’s comments made today in Pennsylvania.  I hope I get to see him Sunday.  What a guy.

Carl—you are not only voting for a person but you are voting for the policies that person will bring to office. Obama brings a sane economic policy that will bring tax cuts to the middle class - a sane trade policy that won’t reward corporations for sending jobs overseas—a sane defense policy that will go hard after the people who attacked us on 9-11 instead of continuing an occupation of a country that doesn’t want us there but is plenty happy to take our borrowed money while they sit on their own $78 billion surplus—and is committed to honoring the Constitution.

If you want to try defending the last 8 years with fact and not rhetoric - I’d love to hear you try.

I love how republicans keep ranting about how much Washington needs change now, ever since Obama mentioned it.  I also love how republicans act like the government in Washington is so screwed up right now (it is I agree).  Are not the republicans the morons that have been in power the past 8 years?!  Every iota and facet of wrong doing in Washington can be traced directly to the Neo-conservative republicans and the evangelicals who vote for them.  I supported Ron Paul 100% and still do.  I will never support the GOP or the republica party after the stunts they pulled at the RNC.  The disrespect they demonstrated towards Ron Paul and the 15 delegates that voted for him at the RNC is nauseating.  I will do everything I can to blemish the name of the GOP and give my all to ensure not a single republican victory occurs in November.  You republicans lost the largest most powerful one million strong grass roots movement you will ever see in your sad little shrinking party’s history.  Go to hell republicans!  Especially you Flathead County Republicans that disrespected Ron Paul supporters here locally.  You know who you are.

OK - party politics aside - warped media deceit aside [both sides] - we’re electing a man to be this country’s leader for at least 4 years.  McCain is not responsibile for Bush’s mistakes, He is certainly not responsible for the short-sighted energy policies, and neither is Obama.  Energy costs have damaged our economy more than any other single factor.  Iraq is not helping and Obama was right, we should not have even gone there.  But - this is now.  we need to get out of Iraq with victory and an orderly withdrawal.  If the U.S. shows any sign of weakness, the terrorists of the world will be all over us like a pack of hyenas.  We need a world known leader, and I’m sorry, but Obama is not that leader.  He may well be ready after a few terms in the senate, and someday He may just prove to be a force for good in our world.  but not yet, not now.  Please consider your vote very carefully.

Obama has nearly the exact experience as Abraham Lincoln when he was elected president. Character, judgment, smarts and certainly policy are what defines a good president. McCain picks a complete fraud to be his VP.

Palin was a big supporter of the “bridge to nowhere” until is became a political hot potato. Only then did she say “no thanks.” But in reality she actually still took the money and didn’t return it. She says she is anti-pork—but while she was governor her state has been the highest in the nation per capita for lobbying for and receiving pork earmarks. While she was a mayor she lobbied and received $27 million in earmarks alone! Even after that she left the city $22 million in debt because of Hockey Rink she thought was so important. Now that’s what heck of a Hockey Mom!

What’s so sad is that the Republicans hold up candidates and policies and say they are one way when the truth is that they are blatantly the other.

And—why are the Republicans refusing to allow Palin talk to the media? How are we supposed to run a democracy if our candidates are held in secret and they aren’t allowed to be asked any questions?

Haven’t we all had enough of this kind of stuff from Republicans?

None of this matters to me one iota.  I am voting for Ron Paul!
