Status Hearing Ordered in W.R. Grace Case

By AP News, 7-16-08

MISSOULA – A judge has set a hearing in the federal criminal case against W.R. Grace & Co. over asbestos contamination in Libby.

U.S. District Judge Donald Molloy, in Missoula, has ordered a status hearing for Oct. 1 and could set a trial date at that time.

It's been almost three and a half years since the U.S. Justice Department filed criminal charges against Grace and its executives.

Molloy signed the order for the hearing on July 9, after receiving notice that the Ninth U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals had upheld Molloy's pre-trial rulings. Grace appealed but the U.S. Supreme Court declined to hear the case. [End of article]

W.R. Grace is getting away with Murder, the State of Montana - who let this all happen is now benefitting financially, while my uncle cannot even afford an oxygen tank.  I have several family members who have died from or have asbestos related diseases.  It is VERY painful for them and it is sad to watch.  Big Business has drug this out for 40 years and still no relief in site for the Actual Victims.  TrialByBlog.com - Crystal L.
