Swimming and Wrestling State Tourneys Begin

Wish good luck to the area’s swimming and wrestling teams. They are off to their respective state tournaments over the weekend. For swimming, Flathead and Glacier high schools are in Great Falls for the state meet on Friday and Saturday. On those same days, the wrestling teams from all of the local high schools are in Billings for the all-class state tournament. Flathead High is looking for its fourth straight Class AA championship.

The basketball season still has a couple of weeks left before tournament time, but this weekend is crucial as the regular season enters its stretch run. Here’s a look at what the local teams have scheduled this weekend:

Boys:
Whitefish @ Columbia Falls – Friday at 8 p.m.
Ronan @ Bigfork – Friday at 7:30 p.m.
Missoula Sentinel @ Flathead – Saturday at 4:30 p.m.
Missoula Big Sky @ Glacier – Saturday at 4:30 p.m.

Girls:
Whitefish @ Columbia Falls – Friday at 6 p.m.
Bigfork @ Ronan – Friday at 7:30 p.m.
Glacier @ Missoula Big Sky – Saturday at 4:30 p.m.
Whitefish @ Bigfork – Saturday at 3 p.m.
Flathead @ Missoula Sentinel – Saturday at 4:30 p.m.
