In state news,
Ron Paul now wants off the Montana ballot as the state Constitution Party nominee. Montana Attorney General Mike
McGrath said he will not investigate comments by Gov. Brian Schweitzer at a July fundraiser in which he bragged about tampering with the 2006 U.S. Senate election results. But
one poll observer in Crow Agency says he was indeed asked to leave during ballot counting on that election night. The
first state veterans' cemetery in Western Montana was dedicated yesterday in Missoula. And
in Helena, city leaders from across the state are meeting to discuss the best way to pass a local option sales tax bill in the 2009 Legislature.
And finally, a lewd
vandal in Nebraska has evaded authorities for a year as he has pressed his greasy butt and groin on almost every window in the town. He's known as the "Butt Bandit." Have a great weekend and enjoy this weather while it lasts.
