Injured Pony and an Amorous Youth

7:31 a.m. Someone in Somers was met with verbal abuse while trying to repossess a fifth-wheeler.

7:32 a.m. A husband and wife were loudly arguing somewhere along Highway 83.

8:34 a.m. A suspicious vehicle appeared in the parking lot of a local trucking company. It turned out to belong to a patron of the business.

8:40 a.m. Someone was sleeping in their car in the Somers Beach area.

9:21 a.m. In Evergreen, a young girl engaged in an argument with her mother and then left on foot. She later returned home unharmed.

10:23 a.m. A dark blue Chevy truck had been abandoned in the ditch. It had broken down and would not move.

10:33 a.m. On Lake Hills Drive, someone reported that several items had been stolen from his car. He later discovered that they had simply been misplaced.

11:38 a.m. Someone spun their tires in a Happy Valley yard, creating massive ruts in the lawn.

11:52 a.m. A window screen was removed from a vacant rental home. The intruder did not gain entry.

1:09 p.m. Several individuals have taken up residence beneath a cellular tower. Their presence is unwelcome.

2:37 p.m. On Willow Glen Drive, someone removed nine lug nuts from a dump truck tire.

3:25 p.m. A female youth pocketed jewelry at an Evergreen box store.

4:25 p.m. A pony was lying prone in a field on Danielson Drive, arousing suspicions of animal cruelty. While the animal did have an injured leg, it had already been addressed by a veterinarian.

4:37 p.m. A saddle was stolen on Trumble Creek Road.

5:17 p.m. A small herd of horses was running down Highway 2. Authorities facilitated in an efficient round-up.

7:30 p.m. At a local box store, someone left their dog enclosed in a hot car.

7:31 p.m. A “bunch of quarters” were stolen from the laundromat at a Whitefish campground.

9:34 p.m. Two youths were safely shooting gophers on Kokanee Bend.

8:51 p.m. A missing child was quickly located in the backyard.

9:17 p.m. A youth shot a Canadian goose on Moon Lake Trail. Canadian geese are not currently in season.

10:44 p.m. A resident of Valley View Court is frustrated with a skate ramp that keeps appearing in the cul-de-sac. The responsible party was located and counseled.

11:27 p.m. A couple was walking down Highway 35, possibly arguing. Authorities found all to be well.

2:29 a.m. A father managed to corner his daughter’s boyfriend in her room. Evidently, the wily youth likes to sneak in late at night.
